Capital U

  1. Curve forward at cap height, slant down and round the first baseline turn.
  2. Rise to the upper-right and slant back down to the baseline.
  3. Round the final baseline turn into a short outward finish.

Small u

  1. Begin at the midline, slant down and round the first baseline trough.
  2. Rise to the midline and slant down for the second stem.
  3. Finish with the short rightward turn at the baseline.
