Cursive H takes two strokes, with a lift between them and a middle loop. Small h climbs into an open loop and needs one clear shoulder: hand.

How to write H and h
Capital H
- Curve forward at cap height and slant down to the baseline, then lift.
- Start at the upper-right, curve back and slant down to the baseline.
- Retrace part of that slant, make the middle loop and finish its rightward return.
Small h
- Start just above the baseline, rise into the open ascender loop and slant down through its crossover.
- Retrace upward from the baseline into one rounded body-height shoulder.
- Slant down and finish with the small rightward baseline turn.
