CursiveLines app for ChatGPT and Claude
Use CursiveLines inside ChatGPT or Claude: show a letter, practice handwriting, compare cursive styles, make a practice sheet and write a name as a signature.
Observation & reference
What the app does
The CursiveLines app brings the site’s writing tools into a ChatGPT or Claude conversation. Ask for a letter, a practice line or a signature and the answer appears as a card you can use right there: pen strokes with playback, a trace pad that scores your tracing, a printable sheet, or the signature styles for a name. Each card links to the matching page or PDF on CursiveLines.
Connect it

No sign-in, key or payment is needed. Every tool only reads; nothing changes on your account or on this site.
The eight tools
- Show a letter
show_letter - One letter, A to Z, as a capital and a small letter with numbered strokes and direction arrows, stroke playback, a trace pad that scores your tracing and the matching printable sheet. Cursive in five styles or print. You give it the letter, the alphabet and the style.
- Show the alphabet
show_alphabet - The full A to Z chart in cursive or print with every capital and small letter and the printable alphabet sheet. You give it the alphabet and the style.
- Compare cursive styles
compare_styles - One letter or a short word in all five cursive styles side by side, with stroke playback for each: Zaner-Bloser, Palmer Method, D’Nealian, Spencerian and Copperplate. You give it a letter or a word of up to 12 letters.
- Practice handwriting
practice_handwriting - A practice line with a guide, stroke playback, a trace pad and a score. You give it your own text of up to 500 characters or one of the 75 ready-made practice sets, plus alphabet, style and guide.
- Make a practice sheet
make_worksheet - A preview of the printable sheet pages with a PDF download. You give it text or a practice set, the alphabet and style, A4 or US Letter paper, the guide and 1 to 6 repeats.
- Generate a signature
generate_signature - A name written in six signature style ideas with advice, plus the handwriting of famous signatures. Each style opens the signature generator with your name filled in, where the PNG and SVG download. You give it a name of up to 80 characters and a format: full name, first initial and surname, or monogram.
- Browse famous signatures
browse_signatures - A gallery of 382 famous signatures with their images and credits, searchable by name and filterable by category. You give it a name or a category.
- Find lessons and guides
find_handwriting - A search of the lessons and guides by letter, topic or practice task, returning matching pages with thumbnails. You give it a search and, if you like, a category.

Your data
There is no account, and nothing you type is saved: the letter, text, name or search you give the app is used to build the answer and is not kept. Opening a link from the app to CursiveLines is counted with only the link opened, the destination page, the time, a coarse country and whether the visitor looks like a bot.
