Capital S

Sweep up from the baseline into a narrow, tall upper loop.
Curve down the right side and around the broad lower bowl.
Turn upward on the left and finish the short inward return; lift before the next letter.

Small s

Start inside the body band and rise to the midline point.
Curve down and left into the rounded lower return.
Make the small lower curl and finish just above the baseline.

How s joins the next letter
